Criteria of Authenticity

Front

How does the 'Criterion of Embarrassment' support the Crucifixion against Islamic claims?

Back

A shameful death by crucifixion is not something early Christians would have invented if it hadn't happened, as it was a 'stumbling block' to Jews and Gentiles alike. Secular historians almost universally accept the crucifixion as a historical fact.

Explanation

This contrasts with the Quranic claim written 600 years after the event.
