Tu Quoque
Front
What is the 'Tu Quoque' fallacy?
Back
Dismissing an argument by pointing out that the arguer has failed to act consistently with their conclusion. Example: 'How can you argue against lying when you lied to your mom last week?'
Explanation
Latin for 'you too.' A person's hypocrisy may be a character flaw, but it does not make their logical argument false.
